Titre: A Few Questions on Quick Start
Posté par: TinyKing le 09/09/2016 - 17:32:39
I'm hoping to pick up the main rulebook soon, but before I can afford the main book I was looking over the Quick Start and came up with a few questions.

1) How do wounds work? The quick start is a bit confusing. So if I shoot someone and do.... 8 damage to the head, do I start on the second line and tick down 8 times, killing them? Or, do you tick one box every time the wound threshold is met? So if 8 damage was done, I'd only tick one box in the Moderate section?
2) Do wound modifiers effect everything, or just what would be done with that limb? For example, if I got shot in the left leg for light wounds, do I have a -1 to all my checks, or just ones that require my leg?
3) Are the wound modifiers cumulative? So if I have 1 damage in both arms in the light box, I have a total of -2?
4) Does everyone have the same amount of Wounds?

Maybe I'll have more questions later, but I'm hoping to run this soon so I want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself in to.

1/ one box in the light wound section of the head. The moderate treshold is 10 !
2/ all tests, the character suffers...
3/ not cumulative. If you have two light wounds, your penalty is -1. If you have one light wound and one moderate wound, your penalty is -3, not -4
4/yes but the thersholds can change with optional rules.

Excellent, thank you very much!

So if the wounds are below 5, no damage is taken?

yes except if you choose to apply the optional rule on the wounds tresholds.

OK  Also, whether on Quickstart or standard rules (I have all of the English and French V3.0 & V3.1 books) since the Wound Penalty affects everything, including the Target's / PC's Reaction Value, does a modification due to a worse level of Wound apply immediately that the Wound is caused, or only upon the start of the next Round?  Obviously, this can change the Initiative order, possibly dropping a Character/NPC/Creature far down the Reaction list.  Or is this an optional effect, depending upon Game Leader choice, please?

I would appreciate a clarification, please.

Regards.

Regard.
