Mutation Costs Question
« le: 11/08/2016 - 22:42:18 »
   Hullo, folks,
A game rules question.
In POLARIS Corebook 1, pages 110/111, under the Mutations, under Genetic Animal Traits, it states that the cost is Variable, but on the Mutation Table the cost is uniformly 2 CP.   Should one of these be corrected, or should the Table costs be higher or lower for some of the traits?
Thanks, in advance. :)

Hi,

It's correct, it's the same cost in the french version.
The variable cost may refer to the optionnal mutation that you can get for free or at reduce cost when you take "Genetic Animal Traits".

Hullo, Alrik,

Thanks for the clarification on this.

You may be right about the reasons for the way the costs are set up.  Elsewhere, someone posted up that it was a provision for future sourcebooks adding up new genetic animal traits later on that would not cost 2CP.  That makes sense, as well.

Thanks, again. :)
